Director Biography

Alex Forgues is a Franco-Ontarian writer/director based in Ottawa, Ontario. He studied documentary at L’Inis, Montreal, as well as fiction at Canadore College in North Bay. Working in both French and English, Alex has written, directed or co-directed works of fiction or documentary, both independent or television programs such as the award-winning shorts "Dirty Laundry," "Porcelaine" and episodes of the second season of "Petites bouches du monde" for TFO. His most recent short «Cire» (2026) premiered in competition at South by Southwest as part of their Midnight Short Program.
