Director Biography

McKenzie Jones (16th March 2004) is a filmmaker based in the North West of England specializing in writing and directing. He also has been a DoP for multiple music videos.

McKenzie studied film production at the University of Salford between 2022 and 2025. During his time there, he developed his knowledge of directing and began to develop his flair for visual storytelling through world building and atmosphere.

Since he graduated, he wrote and directed 'The Youth Service'. A sitcom pilot about the struggles of an underfunded youth service. This was shot in January of 2026 and is currently in post-production.

He also wrote and directed the horror micro short Void Supervisor which will serve as his debut short film since graduating and also his first time writing and directing a horror film.

Alongside his work in film, he will also serve as the Creative Director on a soon to be announced video game that will enter early pre-production in 2026
