Director Biography

Manny Obi, a writer and director based out of Coquitlam B.C. Making his directorial debut in the Being Black in Canada 2023 film festival cohort with his short documentary Tryna Hustle, Manny sets out to expand his abilities and filmmaking prowess.

Devon Martinez is a screenwriter, actor, producer and director based in Port Coquitlam. While attending Vancouver Film School, he wrote and co-produced his short film Grabbin’ a Cold One. After graduating the screenwriting program, Devon continues to pursue opportunities in independent films, while building strong connections in the local Vancouver film industry.
