Set in an abandoned summer camp, each must confront their darkest fears, which take the shape of nightmarish visions tied to a traumatic event from the past. Inspired by films like Ghostbusters, Gremlins, and The Goonies, Mister Sandman blends comedy and supernatural horror with emotional depth—offering a thrilling, nostalgic experience filled with fun practical effects. We like to call it a work of Dark Whimsy.

Director Biography

Chad is a filmmaker and visual artist whose work blends practical effects, creature costumes, and miniature models into immersive, genre-driven storytelling. He began his career in animation, puppetry, and prop-making, and has since built a body of work defined by handcrafted visuals and emotional resonance. His directorial credits include the upcoming feature film MISTER SANDMAN, GAIA_TheSeries, The Legend of Zelda: A Missing Link, The Coming (first feature - 3.3M views), and the award-winning short film Death Wish. He specializes in stories that explore nostalgia, memory, and transformation. Chad also shares his passion for visual storytelling as a Senior Instructor in the Foundation Visual Art & Design program at Vancouver Film School.
