Set in late 19th century Korea, in a desolate cemetery, an old Gravedigger faces a life-threatening situation when a Dead man comes back to life from inside the coffin.

Director Biography

Prabhat Gurung is a Nepalese writer-director and cinematographer whose work is deeply rooted in his indigenous Gurung heritage and rural upbringing. He holds an MFA in Film from The City College of New York, and a BA from Caldwell University, where he studied Communication and Media Studies. Recently, he was selected as a directing fellow at the Busan Asian Film Academy. Most recently, he won the forum filmmaker award at the 2025 Asia Pacific Screen Awards. His directorial fiction short film, The Monk and The Rebel (2022), was awarded the National Board of Review Student Award 2022 in the U.S. Breaking the Silence (2024), a Public Service Announcement where he worked as the cinematographer won an Emmy Award for the Best Public Service Announcement 2024. He is currently working on his next fiction project as a writer/director titled “Son of a Honey Hunter” which was selected in Produire Au Sud- Film Lab South Asia 2023.
