Director Biography

Javier Lozano, director and screenwriter, spent his childhood in the 80s and 90s devouring movies, going to the cinema whenever he could, and secretly lurking among the shelves of the video store, waiting for the desired tape to be returned. He began telling stories through comics at a very young age. Much later, he studied at a film school in Madrid. After completing his film studies, he worked on dozens of projects, gaining experience in each of the roles necessary to bring an audiovisual project to life. He loves the writing process and creating his own visual effects. He has written and directed several short films and music videos.

As a director and screenwriter, his work “Artichokes Piranha from the Prehistoric Abyss” stands out; it was screened at more than 60 festivals, including several prestigious ones such as Mórbido, FilmQuest, Macabro, Short Com, TromaDance, among others. Necrosectos marks his return to short filmmaking after a break of almost five years due to various personal reasons.
